Remesnikov Igor Aleksandrovich
After graduating from the Volgograd Medical University in 1988, he completed an internship in the specialty “Eye Diseases”.
Passage of clinical residency at the department of Professor A.M. Vodovozov, after which he worked in the Department of Eye Microsurgery of the Regional Clinical Hospital in Volgograd.
Worked in the Volgograd branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Interbranch Scientific and Technical Complex “Eye Microsurgery” named after Academician S.N. Fedorov”, first in the laser department, where he mastered the entire scope of laser operations on the retina
He worked in the department of excimer laser surgery, later the department for the correction of refractive errors, which he headed since 2005.
He completed an internship in keratorefractive surgery at the clinic of prof. Ioannis Pallikaris – the founder of the LASIK technique. He organized a refractive direction and for many years worked in such clinics as: the Eye Microsurgery Center in Astrakhan, the Saratov Eye Microsurgery Center, the SOKOL ophthalmological clinic in Rostov.
Author of more than 140 publications, patents, reports, speeches, both at Russian and international conferences, including at ASCRS and ESCRS sessions. Over the entire period of his work, he performed more than 40,000 laser and refractive surgeries. In 2007 he defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate of medical sciences.
